Morgan Freeman with The Story of God

What a good way to teach about similarities and differences in religions. The Hindu religion with its millions of God’s is described as a big shade tree with the gods being branches and leaves. But the essence of that tree is the God everyone is trying to reach through their prayers. I studied and attended a Hindu temple while I was at university. I enjoyed going there very much. We would have a period of discourse when a man or woman would talk to us about a subject. (Similar to a Christian church sermon) Then we would have a period of relaxation, laying down right where we were sitting, then being led in a relaxation visualization or meditation. We would rest for 15 minutes, but there was always some young man who would fall asleep, snoring so loudly it ensured none of us would. We’ get a giggle out of it. Then the feast! Oh the foods were so good. And vegetarian of course, so I had no problem eating whatever I wanted. I tried to get one delicious recipe in particular but somehow

Boxes & Boxes, Oh My!

I'm still breaking into boxes but I bought a really nice bookshelf used for $35. I'm sure it was over $100 when it was new. So my storage needs are taken care of. I did decide to go through a box of papers rather than chucking the whole thing at once. I'm glad I chose to do it this way. I found papers from my therapist days. They are valuable to my heart. Birthday cards my daughter made for me when she was 7 or 8, too. Hey! I'm very happy to have them. I am still struggling with a wedding card. The exterior is complete. It's just the verse and layout on the inside. It's been so long I've forgotten how to set up the printing, etc. I need to find the time to commit to remembering and discovering what's new in card making software. I hope there is something that makes it nice and easy. YouTube helps a lot with ideas and tutorials. Photos coming soon.

Another Chapter

We've been living in our rental home for nearly 2 years now so I'm finally settling in the craft room. I haven't unpacked some of these boxes for 4 or 5 years. Its wonderful to open a box and see Grand Adhesions looking back at me! But then i open another box and, sometimes, it's full of papers! That is horror. Decisions. Do I just toss the whole box? Or do I go through, page by page, deciding where each paper belongs. I have to make room in there so I can get back to what I love. All of this scrapbooking, cardmaking, altered art, etc., it is a driving force in my life. It lights a fire under me. Heaven knows I need that. Here's to conquering another box today! Will share my progress later ...   b
